USB Car Driving Simulator System

The USB car driving simulator system adopts NuMicroTM NUC123 series to simulate real car design with steering wheel, clutch, brakes, and gas pedal operations and realize a USB composite device with USB2.0 endpoint. The system can be used in car driving learning software or racing games. The applications include USB car driving simulator system, USB flight driving simulator system, and USB game controllers.

The NCU123 series features a built-in 1T multiplier with powerful computing capability and instruction processing speed up to 72MHz. The USB can support 8 endpoints to realize multiple applications in USB compound devices, and has passed USB certifications.

The USB car driving simulator system includes steering wheel, gas pedal, clutch, and gear shift. For example, when the USB device is connected to a host computer, PWM capture can catch pulse wave of steering-wheel to control driver motor forward and reverse force feedback, and then show results on the display through software control. Also, GPIO can control car lights and read the gear position, and 10-bit ADC can read Analog signals of gas pedal.

The NCU123 features built-in UCID (Unique Customer ID) and UID (Unique Customer ID) code to protect system design from being stolen or cracked.

This design has successful customer experiences in mass production. Nuvoton can provide solutions or reference design for customer selection.
